Simply copy the URL that you want to shorten and paste it into the appropriate text box on the URL shortener website that you choose. Click a button, and a shortened URL is provided to you, which could be as few as ten characters in length.
URL shorteners offer another benefit to webmasters, authors or bloggers. Sometimes URLs change. If a URL that you share via Twitter changes, the URL you publish in your tweet won't work. Using a URL shortener often fixes that problem. After you create a shortened URL, it should always lead people who click it to your original linked page.
